Within
just a few moments of the Hotel delle Nazioni entrance
the best of the fabulous city of Rome is before you
– this stunning area truly is the historical centre
and the prestigious buildings are inhabited only by
the country’s most elite personages. Piazza
di Spagna, the large public space which is
home to the famous Spanish Steps, is
just 5 minutes on foot from the Hotel Nazioni. this
famous staircase leads from the Spanish Embassy to the
Vatican State up to the church of Santissima Trinità
al Monte Pincio.
At the foot of the steps is Via Condotti, where all
of Italy’s most famous fashion designer
shops are concentrated; as is the former home
of the Romantic English Poet John Keats.
Every street is paved with history. The nearby
Trevi Fountain, commissioned by Pope Clement
XII in 1730 is surely the most famous and arguably the
most beautiful in the world.
Situated by the Pincio Hill (one of the famous seven),
by scaling the 138 aforementioned Spanish Steps one
can get a truly breathtaking view over the Eternal
City of Rome, especially if you take the short
walk to Villa Borghese and look down over Piazza del
Popolo. Take a look at the map below to familiarise
yourself with this unique and magical city.
